Manny Pacquiao shares honest reaction to Floyd Mayweather’s ‘issues’ forcing rematch to be postponed

Manny Pacquiao shared his first reaction after his planned rematch against Floyd Mayweather was postponed.
It’s been more than a decade since Pacquiao and Mayweather finally met in May 2015, with Mayweather winning by unanimous decision in a hard-fought fight that remains the highest-grossing fight of all time.
Pacquiao was keen for a rematch, citing a shoulder injury, and there were rumors of a rematch in the years to come, but when Mayweather announced his retirement from the sport in August 2017, it seemed all hope of seeing him again was gone.
That all changed earlier this year when it was reported that the two boxing legends were set for a shocking rematch in September, with Mayweather putting his legendary 50-0 record on the line.
However, after this announcement, problems arose in the proposed competitionwith Mayweather initially denying that it would indeed be a fully sanctioned fight before conflicting reports surfaced about the date and venue.
The latest issue is related to a lawsuit filed against Mayweather for breach of contract. which led to the official postponement of the event.
Many fans now doubt that this will actually ever happen, but Pacquiao himself now insists that it will happen anyway, says FightHype that they are defined with a precise date.
“We’re closing in on the deadline. Yes (it will be next year). I hope he fixes his issues (with the lawsuit).”
Despite the Filipino star’s optimism, Mayweather will turn 50 in February and Pacquiao will turn 48 in December, so time is running out for this rematch to take place.
