LeBron James going to be spending a lot more time in Philly! The NBA star announced he is joining the Philadelphia 76ers and broke the internet in the process.

LeBron James chooses Philly
Fans have been waiting weeks for James’ decision, but the wait is over. James shared a post on Friday, July 24th X announcing that he would play with Philadelphia 76.
James noted that he thought he was done playing in the NBA after last season.
“I thought I was done for the season,” James wrote, “I wasn’t ready to announce it and I knew I needed time to really make up my mind, but I was confident that I had played my last game. I was honest in that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and (decide) if I love the game. I still love the game and I have more to give.”
Above all, he says he wants to win another championship and is not motivated by money. In addition, he noted that he was not motivated by his family either.
“I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team, and I’m excited to spark a new fan base and begin this incredible journey one last time. Thank you, Los Angeles. Miami, which I will love forever, and Northeast Ohio will always be home!” he concluded.
Flats react to James playing for Philly
After James announced his decision, the post was viewed more than 8 million times as fans reacted to the news. The Shade Room also shared the news, and Roomers were quick to drop notes in the comments section.

LeBron signed a two-year contract
According to ESPNJames signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the team. He made about $53 million last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Also, his agent, Rich Pavelsaid that practicing “basketball happiness” prompted his decision to leave the Lakers after eight seasons. James also played for the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.
