Sean “Diddy” CombsTwin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs are opening a new business, and they have no fears. In a new interview, the 19-year-old entrepreneurs explained why now is the best time to launch a new fashion line and why they are not afraid of their father’s legal problems.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight , the twin girls that Diddy had with the late Kim Porter said they’re not worried that their father’s ongoing legal troubles will hurt their business. “Not at all,” they said confidently.
But why are D’Lila and Jessie so confident that their new fashion line will succeed despite their father being behind bars after being found guilty of trafficking for the purpose of prostitution?
“Because people don’t understand that just because he’s our father doesn’t mean his press is his own press,” D’Lillo said. “Our press is our own press. It’s like people don’t understand that we’re also individuals. It’s like it’s separate. So I’m not afraid.”
Didi’s daughters said they don’t let negative headlines stop them from pursuing their dreams
In October 2025, Didi’s federal trial ended with a judge sentencing him to 50 months in federal prison.
He was tried in Federal District Court in Manhattan, and although a jury acquitted him of the major charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, they found him guilty of the lesser charge of transporting people for prostitution.
While it was hard to hear that their father would be incarcerated in just over four years, Jessie said the news surrounding him won’t stop them from reaching for the stars.
“I just feel like we never let it stop us,” she said. “Like we have to keep going. And it honestly made us push harder and work harder because you know we’re not going to stop.”

And while Diddy has been holed up at FCI Fort Dix since last fall, the twins shared that they continue to have a great relationship with him.
“We’re definitely very close and he gives the best advice,” Jessie said. “He’ll always be there and always tell us the right answers. He’s literally never wrong. Like everything he’s told us about it, it’s been very helpful.”
Jessie also shed light on their father’s time behind bars, saying he was “very focused” on being a good person and being there for his family.

Didi’s children shared a similar message during a court hearing in 2025, for Explosion. Justin Combs has called the “Finna Get Loose” rapper his “superhero” while pleading with a judge to give him a “second chance.”
“I can really honestly say that he’s changed for the better,” Justin continued. “Your honor, I believe my father has much more to give to the world, but more importantly, much more to give to his children.”
Diddy’s other son, Quincy Combs, echoed his brother’s statement, telling the judge that his father had learned an “important lesson” for all his legal troubles. He went on to say that the 56-year-old had been “transformed” and would be better off moving forward.

In their latest interview, the teenagers revealed why now is the time for them to release their products after dreaming of this day for “many, many years”.
“Now is the time because we’re becoming adults. So now, yes, actually, now is the time because we’re 19. We’re not in high school anymore. We’re becoming young women. We’re becoming ourselves,” D’Lila shared.
