Dominik Sobaslai has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.
Sky Sports News it is known that the 25-year-old footballer signed a five-year contract that runs until the summer of 2031. He had two years left on his previous contract.
Discussions between Richard Hughes and representatives of Shabaslai have accelerated in recent weeks.
Soboslay’s willingness to commit his long-term future to Liverpool was evident during discussions with both the player and his representatives.
Liverpool believe Sabaslai has become an integral and increasingly influential player for them since joining from RB Leipzig in July 2023.
The Hungary international was a key member of Liverpool’s title-winning side in 2024/25 and was the club’s player of the year last season.

“This is probably my biggest day,” Sobaslai said Liverpoolfc.com. “There’s a couple ahead – probably when I signed for Liverpool, the first one, and when I had the baby, of course. But in my football career, I can say that it is in the top three.
“Very happy. (I) can’t wait to go again and again and again. I’m just happy to be here, as I’ve said many times.
“There’s always more to come… I’m happy with myself, but I think I can do even better. I think that’s why I’m sitting here, because that’s what pushed me since I was a kid: that it’s never enough, and now I’m thinking the same thing.
“I want to be an example. I also want to be an example to everyone as much as I can.
“When I signed the contract, I said I want to win it all. That hasn’t changed for a minute either. Everything remains the same: I want to win everything possible in this country, including, say, the Champions League. I’m ready to go for it.”
