OKX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges on volumehas taken action to help users from Venezuela affected by the twin earthquakes that killed more than 2,000 people and destroyed hundreds of buildings.

On social media using his Latam account, OKX mentioned the twin earthquakes that hit Venezuela on June 24, 2026 and how cryptocurrency community response to this event in one of the countries of Latham is growing crypto adoption.

To help Venezuelan users in regions affected by the natural disaster, OKX announced that it will distribute 20 USDT to every user with a Proof of Address (POA) that proves they reside in La Guaira, the state hardest hit by the twin earthquakes.

While OKX did not disclose the total amount of funds available for the initiative, it noted that support is limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Funds will be automatically credited to POA eligible accounts. “No registration, claim code or qualifying transaction is required; the $20 reward is automatically credited upon verification.” the exchange explained.

OKX’s relief effort follows a similar effort by Binance. The most popular exchange in Venezuela laid down $3 million to users residing in La Guaira, Capital District, Miranda, Aragua, Caraboba, Falcon and Jaracua, offering a similar path for users to return 20 USDT through redeemable vouchers.
