Meta has released a program for creating generative AI games

Vibe coding right in your pocket.

Meta seems to have launched a new app called Pocket, which aims to get people to create vibration code for their own mini-games. Mobile developer and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi spotted Pocket and wrote about it in X today, but reporting platform AppFigures reported TechCrunch that the app has been available for both iOS and Android since June 29. Although the app is publicly listed, it’s not available in the US on any of the half-dozen phone models linked to our Google accounts, and help page on the Meta website says “the Pocket app isn’t available everywhere yet.”

The company has not yet made any public announcements about the launch or where the program is being tested. We’ve reached out for comment and will update this post when we hear back.

From cosmetic adjustments to a standalone application Last year, Meta sought to use artificial intelligence in its services. TechCrunch suggested that Pocket could be the result of the company hiring the team behind it wholesale thingapp that used artificial intelligence to create interactive experiences based on user prompts, earlier this year. Pocket uses the same nomenclature, calling itself a “creative platform for making and sharing gizmos” in the app listing and Play Store shortcode “com.facebook.gizmo” also does little to dispel that thought.
