Emma Roberts and Cody John have been collecting PDAs since their first social media post as a couple.
“Sweet, sweet,” John wrote in August 2022 Instagram post as he kisses Vacation a star on a boat. The intimate photo took place less than a year later Us Weekly confirmed Roberts’ split with Garrett Hedlund in February 2022. (The exes — who started dating in March 2019 — remained friendly as parents to them son of Rhodesborn in December 2020)
As for Roberts and John, they have been spotted together several times since becoming Instagram official. In the past, Roberts has spoken candidly about the challenges of dating as a public figure and the desire to do so keep her love life a secret.
“I never want to talk about a relationship I’m in or a relationship that’s ending or has ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone one-on-one, let alone with an audience,” she said. Cosmopolitan in May 2019, two months after she and Hedlund were first spotted together. “Growing up is hard. Sometimes I’m sad that I can’t have a private moment. Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where anyone can comment on what you doand no one knows the real story. It’s hard. … I know what is true and I know what has happened in my life and so do the people who love me and whom I love.”
The couple got engaged in 2024 and married two years later.
