“The world is happy because @jessclarke_ is becoming a mother to two girls and Winona is so excited to be a big sister!” Higgins, 37, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, July 5. “Waylon is still feeling the pressure of living up to the Higgins name, and I’m personally overwhelmed with joy to feel it all! Higgins girl #2 is coming up (to) the end of the year. In the words of Grandma Jessica, ‘when you do certain things, certain things happen.'”
Along with the message, Higgins posted a photo of the couple’s daughter holding the doll upside down. Clarke, for her part, shared the happy news in a message with the family of three.
“Girl #2 debuts this holiday season 🩷,” Clarke wrote via Instagram on Sunday.
Higgins and Clark welcomed their first child a daughter, Winona “Winnie” Elaine, in 2025.
“First of all, I didn’t know I could be more in love and more in awe of @jessclarke_ but after the last 48 hours my heart has exploded for her and our new baby girl,” Higgins wrote via Instagram at the time. “Wynonna (Winnie for short if she’s ok) Elaine Higgins was born at 2:53am on February 12th. Words are still hard for me, I won’t really articulate what just happened.”
He continued, “But the last 2 mornings I’ve been waking up feeling like it was a dream, reminding myself of the blessing of Jesus, then looking at Jessica and Winona and mentally reuniting with the truth that I’m a dad and a husband and that we’re a family. Life is starting over for us, we’re entering a new chapter, and there are so many moments where words are not enough, but we feel the love inspired by God.”
Higgins, who tied the knot with Clarke shared in 2021 that the couple conceived daughter Winnie through intrauterine insemination (IUI).
“We were planning this and we didn’t know how many steps we were going to have to take. We didn’t know how much help we were going to have to get,” Higgins exclusively said Us Weekly in August 2024. “We have a lot of friends who struggle with infertility and have struggled through this process, and just hearing from them and learning from them, we knew we wanted to plan and be prepared… We set that date and started trying, and for us it happened easier than we expected.”
