Tottenham are close to agreeing terms with Mateusz Fernandez

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Mateusz Fernandes from West Ham United this summer and are very close to agreeing personal terms with the player.
They are yet to open formal talks with West Ham United regarding the 21-year-old midfielder and it remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Fernandes has been linked with several Premier League clubs but is open to a move to Tottenham this summer.
Matteo Maretto wrote further X: “Tottenham are very close to agreeing a contract with Mateusz Fernandez. There have been no official negotiations with West Ham yet. Mateus Fernandez, also on the radar of other big clubs, is ready to sign a contract with Tottenham.”
The Portugal international has been outstanding for West Ham United and will be looking to stay in the top flight. “Hammers” were relegated, and he will not want to go with them to the Championship.
Joining Tottenham could be perfect for him. The North London club need more quality and depth in the center of the park and the West Ham star would be a perfect fit for them. He has the physical and technical characteristics to help them improve. He will add control, composure and defensive cover to the team. He is a young player with a lot of potential and he has already established himself in the Premier League. He could make an immediate impact at Tottenham and would improve further with coaching and experience.
It could prove to be a great investment for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. The fact that they are closing in on a deal for the player will only strengthen their position in negotiations with West Ham United.
The Hammers will not want to lose an important player like Fernandes, but they are under pressure to sell players after relegation. They know that the best players will not want to stay in the second division. It would be ideal for them to sell the player and make the most of his departure.
