BlackRock<\/a> CEO Larry Fink expressed renewed optimism about financial markets over the coming year, while also offering a more constructive assessment of Bitcoin, saying the cryptocurrency market has become more stable following the removal of excessive leverage.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a CNBC interview, Fink said, \u201cI\u2019m very bullish on the markets over the next 12 months<\/em>,\u201d citing the ongoing technological transformation driven by artificial intelligence and infrastructure investment.<\/p>\n

Although his bullish outlook focused on the broader market, Fink also reflected on Bitcoin\u2019s evolution, contrasting today\u2019s environment with previous crypto market cycles.<\/p>\n

Additionally, discussing financial stability, Fink noted that one of his biggest concerns in earlier years had been the amount of leverage built into cryptocurrency markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was always worried about the leverage in Bitcoin and crypto. There was too much leveraged players in it. That\u2019s why we had to wash out. And I think there\u2019s more stability at these levels here<\/em>,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Notably, his remarks suggest that the painful deleveraging experienced across the digital asset sector has helped create a healthier market structure. Rather than viewing leverage as a major systemic threat today, Fink said he sees far less implicit leverage across global capital markets than during the period surrounding the 2008 financial crisis.<\/p>\n

The comments add to the growing shift in institutional sentiment toward Bitcoin<\/a>with many large asset managers increasingly treating the cryptocurrency as part of a diversified investment portfolio rather than a purely speculative asset.<\/p>\n

Beyond cryptocurrencies, Fink spent much of the discussion highlighting artificial intelligence as the next major driver of economic growth.<\/p>\n

According to the CEO, demand for computing infrastructure continues to exceed available supply, creating investment opportunities across data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, and power generation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see as a big investor in data centers, the demand for compute is not slowing down. It\u2019s growing faster<\/em>,\u201d Fink stated.<\/p>\n

He warned that insufficient investment in electricity grids and power generation could become a bottleneck for AI adoption, stressing that affordable and reliable energy will determine which regions benefit most from the technology boom.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Fink also voiced concern that smaller businesses could struggle to compete if computing costs remain elevated, saying the industry must continue reducing the cost of AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n

He pointed to the firm\u2019s expanding use of automation and artificial intelligence to process more transactions without increasing headcount, while AI-assisted software development has accelerated coding efficiency.<\/p>\n

The executive said these technological gains have helped expand BlackRock\u2019s<\/a> operating margins and should continue supporting profitability as private markets and retirement-related businesses grow.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, BTC changed hands at $66,242, reflecting a 2% gain over the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n
