Saturday Night Live is saying goodbye to one of its great cast members. Chloe Fineman, who first joined the legendary sketch comedy series in the 2019\/2020 season, has announced that she is leaving “SNL” after its 51st season. Fineman spent seven seasons on the show. When the NBC series returns this fall, Feynman will need to be replaced.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram<\/a>Fineman confirmed her departure, saying, “It’s really hard to leave ‘SNL,’ but it feels like the right time.” However, it is her decision that is key. Unlike people like Adam Sandler, who was fired from “SNL,”<\/a> Feynman is leaving on his own terms. Continuing, she added the following:<\/p>\n

“It’s corny to say, but working on ‘SNL’ was the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with this place the second I walked in the door. Lorne (if you’re reading this on your record), I want you to know that I’m always in your debt. Every day I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by the best people in the business, and I’m constantly amazed watching them work”.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I make a Jojo Siwa suit in 10 hours. Writing a cold opening at 2pm on Saturday. Finishing the video VFX minutes before the dress (I don’t know if ‘finishing VFX’ is the correct technical term, but you get the idea),\u201d Feinman added.<\/p>\n

This is another big loss for the show as Bowen Young also left “SNL” after seven seasons<\/a>. Lorne Michaels and the NBC team will need to find fresh, young talent to help fill the void for season 52.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Speaking further, Feynman felt nothing but fondness for his time at Studio 8H:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s really funny to look back on it all now because on the show you get so involved in everything you’re working on. You sob uncontrollably when your sketch isn’t chosen. You burst into the producers’ office and tell them they just made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to complain. And then you look back a few years later and it was a sketch called “lipstick for fat dogs.” But it’s just a show. You respect him so much that you give him absolutely everything you have, even when it’s incredibly stupid.’<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cYou’re thrilled when it works and devastated when it doesn’t. And in the end, it didn’t really matter, but it did at the moment,” Feynman concluded. “I’m going to miss it a lot. But the people who work there are my family and the place is my home and I know I’ll never be too far away.”<\/p>\n
