Lindsay Hubbard <\/b><\/a>talks about her transformative experience as a new mom, detailing how her 19-month-old daughter, Gemma, helped her face her own relationship with her mother.<\/p>\n

“I look at (my daughter) and I’m like, ‘I’ll never be able to walk away from her,'” Lindsay, 39, exclusively reveals in the latest Us Weekly <\/i>the cover<\/span><\/a>. “I thought I was going to be a disciplinarian, a tough loving mom, but I’m such a jerk to this girl. I’m like, ‘Oh, no, she has my number,’ and she’s a year and a half. I’m like, ‘God, she already knows how to manipulate me, and it works every time.’<\/p>\n

The summer house <\/i>a star welcomed Gemma in December 2024<\/a> with a past partner. The now exes split shortly after Gemma’s arrival and have continued to co-parent their daughter ever since.<\/p>\n

When Lindsay described her life with Gemma in Season 1 in the city <\/i>she also talked about her estrangement from her mother and revealed that the couple has no plans to reconcile. (Lindsey was raised primarily by her aunt Rhonda after her mom left when the Bravo star was a child.)<\/p>\n

“I love that I had a daughter. I think it healed some of the wounds in my heart that weren’t completely closed in therapy,” Lindsay said. us <\/i>“I think it’s great that I was able to fix some things about myself just by having my little girl, and it validated and made me feel vindicated in my decision not to have a relationship with my mom.”<\/p>\n
