India&#8217;s dominance in the rankings is further highlighted by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma occupying the third and fourth spots respectively, giving India three battles in the top four.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"shubman_gill_narrows_gap_to_daryl_mitchell_in_odi_rankings\">Shubman Gill closes the gap on Daryl Mitchell in the ODI rankings<\/h2>\n<p>Gill&#8217;s unbeaten 80 in India&#8217;s successful run chase against England earned him a valuable boost in the ICC rankings. The Indian captain gained 12 ranking points to reach 803, closing the gap on current No. 1 Darryl Mitchell to just 11 points.<\/p>\n<p>Daryl Mitchell, who recently scored 93 runs in two ODI openers against West Indies, remains at the top with 814 rating points. With two matches remaining in the England series, Gill has a real chance of overtaking the New Zealand batsman and regaining the top spot in the ODI rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Virat Kohli retained the third position with 757 rating points despite not making it through the series, while Rohit Sharma remained fourth with 744 points. Rounding out the top five leaders is Afghanistan&#8217;s Ibrahim Zadran with 712 rating points.<\/p>\n<p>KL Rahul is the fourth Indian in the top 15, ranked 12th with 640 rating points, while Shreyas Patel has made significant strides in the ICC ODI all-rounder rankings<\/h2>\n<p>Axar Patel has entered the top 10 of the latest ICC ODI Men&#8217;s All-Around Rankings after beating England in the first ODI. The left-arm bowling all-rounder moved up three places to ninth with 213 rating points, making him India&#8217;s highest-rated player in the category. Ravindra Jadeja is the only other Indian in the top 20, ranked 17th with 174 rating points.<\/p>\n<p>Axar won the Man of the Match award after his contribution with bat and ball at Edgbaston. He claimed four wickets in England&#8217;s innings before remaining unbeaten on 57 to guide India home in the chase alongside Washington Sundar.<\/p>\n<p>His all-rounder also saw an improvement in his individual batting and bowling rankings. Axar jumped 18 places to 73rd in the ODI batting rankings and climbed two places to 42nd among ODI bowlers. Sundar also experienced a significant rise after his unbeaten half-century, climbing 24 places to 177th in the batting rankings and climbing 16 places to 55th in the ODI all-rounders&#8217; rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Afghanistan&#8217;s Azmatullah Amarzai continues to lead the ODI all-rounder rankings with 316 rating points, followed by Bangladesh&#8217;s Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Afghanistan veteran Mohammad Nabi.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"harry_brook_jos_buttler_and_jofra_archer_make_big_gains_in_icc_t20i_rankings\">Harry Brook, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer have made big strides in the ICC T20I rankings<\/h2>\n<p>Ishan Kishan continues to lead the men&#8217;s ICC T20I batting rankings with 892 rating points, maintaining a healthy lead at the top after his prolific performance last year. India&#8217;s runner-up Abhishek Sharma remains second with 858 points, giving India the top two positions in the rankings. Pakistan&#8217;s Sahibzada Farhan is third with 848 points, with England&#8217;s Phil Salt fourth. Sri Lanka&#8217;s Pathum Nissanka rounds out the top five. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Harry Brook rose 12 places to seventh after finishing the T20I series against India as the leading run-scorer with a series of impressive innings, including an unbeaten knock in the final match. Jos Buttler also moved up to number six after ending the series with a memorable century.
