In the announcement for Independence Day, a tech billionaire<\/a> Michael Dell and his wife Susan announced a “public-private partnership” that aims to give millions of young Americans a direct financial stake in the nation’s economy.<\/p>\n

The CEO of Dell Technologies took to X on Saturday to announce that they are giving $250 each to the first 25 million eligible American children to sign up for “Trump accounts.”<\/p>\n

“This makes every child a shareholder in the greatest engine of prosperity the world has ever known \u2014 American capitalism,” Dell wrote in the X message. “Through this public-private partnership, we’re giving the next generation a real stake in our economy and a path to the American dream: an education, a first home, starting a business and building lasting wealth.” <\/p>\n

The announcement coincides with the official launch of Trump’s Fourth of July bills, provisions of the new tax law designed to help young Americans financial start<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under the program, which was announced a year ago, every US citizen born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 is eligible to receive a base investment of $1,000 upon enrollment. <\/p>\n

Parents can enroll their children in the program when filing their tax return, acting as sole custodians of the account until the child turns 18.<\/p>\n

Dell, which previously pledged more than $6 billion to the program, said the initiative “brings us all together in hope and optimism for the future of every child.”<\/p>\n
