Tom Clancy is no longer with us, but his sprawling series of military fiction novels centered around CIA analyst Jack Ryan and Special Forces operative John Clarke continues to be a goldmine for Hollywood adaptations. Hunting for Red October <\/em>it’s the best submarine movie in 40 years, Patriot games<\/em> was one of the best action movies of the 90s by Harrison Ford and the John Krasinski Amazon series, Jack Ryan<\/em>is a smash hit. Long-time fans of Clancy are especially unaware that one of his best novels has yet to be adapted into a film. Almost 30 years have passed, and he is still gone Rainbow Six<\/em> adaptation.<\/p>\n

Earlier Rainbow Six <\/em>became a hugely successful video game series, it was the 11th Tom Clancy novel, and in the Clancyverse it was as the avengers<\/a> get together. The elite counter-terrorism unit “Rainbow”, so named because it is made up of the best of the best from NATO member countries, was formed as a rapid reaction strike force. Led by John Clark and his son-in-law, Domingo “Ding” Chavez, they stopped a bank robbery, hostage-taking and took down a secret group of the world’s elite. All in one book. <\/p>\n
