Josh Kerr broke the men’s mile world record, which had not been broken since 1999

Britain’s Josh Kerr clocked 3min 42.66sec in the men’s mile at the high-octane Diamond League on Saturday, breaking the record set by Moroccan Hicham El Gerouj in Rome in 1999.
