Former star of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Mia Thornton was recently slammed for apparently using artificial intelligence to pass off other people’s photos as her own. Now that her accident is trending on social media, her former “RHOP” co-stars, Giselle Bryant and Robin Dixonexpress their humorous reactions.
It comes after Thornton recently announced a career change after leaving Housewives.
Bryant and Dixon recently appeared on them “Reasonably Shady” podcast. react to the photo of the controversy surrounding Thornton. For context, the former “RHOP” star was accused of photographing influencers Sophie O’Neillbody and added her own head to pass off the image as her own.
They started discussing the topic and Bryant said, “Speaking of not growing, are we going to talk about Mia and the AI of it all?” Dixon then joked about their former co-star: “AI got Mia.”
They then clarified the situation, saying that many other social media users are creating their own photos, and even some Bravo stars are joining in, including the Real Housewives of Orange County star. Tamra is a judge.

As Bryant and Dixon continued to discuss Thornton and her use of O’Neal’s photo, they began discussing some of the issues fans were pointing out in the social media content. Dixon stated, “She was resting on this woman’s body.”
She continued: “Mia didn’t take all her hips. In the picture, you can see that Mia looks slimmer than the girl.” They also pointed out that the photo shows a rare Hermes handbag, which Thornton herself does not own. Dixon also mentioned that Thornton’s photo included the same background as O’Neill’s original photo.
The pair have since responded to Thornton’s threat of legal action over the criticism she faced over the fake image. According to them, “Mia, just stop talking. The legal notice should go to you Mia. Why are you sending legal notices to anyone? This is not fake news in any way.”
Toward the end of the clip, Dixon said, “You put yourself right — the same background, the same hands, the same… Why are we doing that?”
“RHOP” fans are having fun with the controversy
Real Housewives of Potomac fans have had their say not only on Thornton’s photo controversy, but also on how her former co-stars feel about the situation. One person said of Dixon and Bryant: “I love them together! Gisele and Robyn are my faves!”
Someone else said, “Mia stopped.” Another person responded to Bryant’s comments about the hip swap in the photo, saying, “I didn’t take all of her hips. lol”. Another “RHOP” fan mentioned Bryant’s previous issues with Thornton, noting, “Gizelle never misses an opponent to put Mia in her place.”
Another social media user chimed in, saying, “This is why we need Mia back on the show. She’s the perfect amount of illusion. She brought a balance to ‘RHOP’ that wasn’t there.”

According to Page sixThornton posted a since-deleted photo on Instagram in June 2026. After being called out online for what appeared to be an edited shot, the “RHOP” alum received a response from O’Neal herself. The model said: “@mrsmiathornton – you’re super into my photo. The world is a very scary place today – it’s just sad.”
She added: “Please can you remove Me from your head. Thank you.” Thornton later posted another photo of her wearing the same white dress. This time she could be seen in the restaurant. She captioned the post: “Never needed influence. My name carries enough weight on its own.”
The former Bravo star then said: “Let me guess what her name is, there’s a picture of her sitting in a restaurant.”
Mia recently announced her new career
Thornton announced her retirement from The Real Housewives of Potomac in April 2025. Since then, things have not been going well for her, and according to the word PEOPLEwas arrested in November 2025 for theft at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The arrest came after she was accused of removing furniture from a rental property “in the middle of the night.” However, after a day in jail, she seems to be on her way to greener pastures. Thornton took it upon himself Instagram in June 2026 to share his latest career achievement, becoming a Marketing Executive.
In the caption, she said: “Entering my next season – and doing it boldly. I’m proud to officially announce my role with HITCloud as Head of Branding and Marketing. It’s not just a step… it’s a mindset. It’s about growing, elevating and owning every room I walk into.”
The former “RHOP” star added, “To every woman watching this: You don’t have to wait your turn. Create your table. This is just the beginning.”
