Mongo is highly valued and has interest from other clubs, but the Telegraph claim Arsenal are his preference and the north London giants appear to be already planning a pre-season deal for the 16-year-old.

Arsenal are reportedly set to sign more young players this summer in a bid to develop players who could see a significant rise in value.

Jeremy Mongo is likely to land a big transfer to Arsenal.

Mongi looks like he has a great career ahead of him and a move to the Emirates Stadium should be a good step in his career.

There is certainly no doubt that Mongo is too good to continue playing for Leicester, who are in a bit of a crisis after back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and Championship in the last two seasons.

That means Leicester will be in League One next season, so it seems likely that Mongo won’t be their only sale.

Arsenal fans will be hoping this means their drive will continue in a positive direction, even if there may have been an initial setback.

It should be noted, however, that the rejected bids could simply be part of the normal negotiation process, rather than a flat message that Leicester are not selling, which seems unlikely.

The Telegraph’s report did not mention how much AFC offered or how much they would have to increase their offer to convince Leicester to sell, but perhaps those details will emerge soon.
